yaaayaaa Great cover and an even greater late night comfort. It's like a hug in the form of a song for those who need its bittersweet lovin'. A tear jerker and tear wiper all at the same time. ERR always and forever. Favorite track: All My Tears (cover).

rbergman I have Julie Miller's 'Orphans & Angels', with the original of this song and I was surprised to find this cover here. I had never heard of Emma Ruth Rundle until my streaming service recommended me 'May Our Chambers Be Full'. That is a great album but in style totally different. Yet it was this paradox that pulled me to Emma and her music. I was lucky to find this versatile artist. Emma has got herself a new fan. And yes, the cover is beautiful.

This song was written by Julie Miller but performed by Emmylou Harris on "Wrecking Ball," which is one of my favorite records.
I covered this song in my room using the computer mic and some reverb..

The guitar used is a 1963 Martin tenor in some open tuning. one live take aside from vocal harmonies.

mastered by Chris Common.

I will be releasing a few more covers before the full length comes out next year on Sargent House.

lyrics

"When I go don't cry for me
In my fathers arms I'll be
The wounds this world left on my soul
Will all be healed and I'll be whole

Sun and moon will be replaced
With the light of Jesus' face
And I will not be ashamed
For my savior knows my name

It don't matter where you bury me
I'll be home and I'll be free
It don't matter where I lay
All my tears be washed away

Gold and silver blind the eye
Temporary riches lie
Come and eat from heaven's store
Come and drink and thirst no more

So weep not for me my friend
When my time below does end
For my life belongs to him
Who will raise the dead again

It don't matter where you bury me
I'll be home and I'll be free
It don't matter where I lay
All my tears be washed away"
-julie Miller
